I had fun over the past couple of days making some blocks for "Sew Connected 3." "The first couple of pictures are of blocks I made forJohn. He sent along some beautiful fabric. He has a good eye for color and design.
Here is the block before cutting. It is 13" square.
Here it is after cutting the block into 6.5" squares.
I had enough fabric to make one more 6.5" block. I can't wait to see what it looks like all put together.
I also made a couple of blocks for Ahsley. She gave us Heather Ross' Mendocino to work with and requested Maverick Stars. I love them! I'm going to have to make a quilt using this type of block.
I also made blocks for Sew Kid At Heart quilting bee. This is a soft and warm flannel block for Viv of Highway Cottage. It was fun to make something for a boy in shades of blue and yellow. I think I will have to pull out some of my flannel and make a quilt and not just solid reversible baby blankets.
One last block to show for now....
This block is for Tara. I joined one moreBee. I knowwww, I shouldn't have, but I did. I like being challenged and making new quilting buddies. Tara chose to have us make blocks with little houses. If you haven't seen the quilt that is currently inspiring many quilters in blog/flickrland, check it out.
What a beautiful family!! So lucky to have Mom and Dad to help. Look forward to learning more as we quilt-a-long together.
Cheers

Gorgeous! I love them all, especially the Good Folks blocks. I'm a total nerd for that fabric line.
